GIVING OUR VETERANS A LONG OVERDUE "WELCOME HOME"

North Bay Honor Flight respects and admires the brave veterans who served our nation during some of our most challenging times.  Our mission is to provide a heartfelt and long-overdue "welcome home" to veterans who dedicated their lives to serving our country in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.

We established this Chapter of the Nationwide Honor Flight Network over a year ago to ensure that Veterans throughout the eight North Bay counties can experience the recognition and gratitude they deserve.  Mark your calendar for our

ABOUT NORTH BAY HONOR FLIGHT

North Bay Honor Flight is proud to be a member of the Honor Flight Network. This non-profit organization was established in 2005 with a powerful vision: to fly World War II veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit their memorial and other significant memorials in the city.

The Honor Flight story started when a compassionate physician's assistant realized that many World War II veteran patients were not excited about visiting the newly built World War II memorial. Determined to change this, Earl Morse and his friends took it upon themselves to fly a few veterans to the memorial, sparking the creation of the Honor Flight Network.

Since then, this inspiring mission has grown, uniting communities and bridging generations. North Bay Honor Flight is proud to be part of this movement. In that light, we are tentatively scheduling our first flight for October of 2024, where Our local veterans will visit their memorials in Washington, D.C. The experience is long overdue for many veterans—we're committed to making it a reality.

Our Mission: Giving Back to Heroes
Our mission at North Bay Honor Flight is simple yet profound: to give back to those who have given so much. Every veteran deserves a hero's welcome home.

One of the unique aspects of our mission is our commitment to disabled veterans. Disabilities should never be a barrier to receiving the recognition and gratitude that veterans deserve. We go the extra mile to make our Honor Flights accessible, inclusive, and accommodating to all veterans who wish to join us.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

One of the most impactful ways you can contribute to our cause is through donations. Your generous contributions directly give veterans the recognition and gratitude they deserve.

Your donations go towards funding our Honor Flights, ensuring we can continue organizing these life-changing journeys for veterans who served during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. By contributing to North Bay Honor Flight, you become a critical part of our mission to create unforgettable experiences for our heroes.

Every dollar you donate makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our veterans. It helps cover the costs of flights, accommodations, meals, and other logistical aspects of our trips. Each donation helps us to offer these experiences to disabled veterans, removing any barriers that might prevent them from participating.

We know the decision to donate is a personal one. We want you to know that your support has a lasting impact on our mission and the veterans we serve. It sends a powerful message of gratitude and recognition to those who sacrificed for our freedom.

If donating isn't an option, we invite you to explore volunteer opportunities with your local Honor Flight chapter. Your time and effort truly help, and you can contribute in numerous ways. Volunteers play a crucial role in organizing fundraising events, helping with the promotion and marketing of our program, and assisting with the meticulous planning and preparations for each Honor Flight.
