NORTH BAY HONOR FLIGHT
North Bay Honor Flight dedicates our efforts to honoring and giving back to our nation's heroes. Our mission is to provide a heartfelt and long-overdue "welcome home" to our veterans who served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, ensuring their sacrifices and bravery are never forgotten.
Our Mission
At North Bay Honor Flight, we aim to give back to those who have sacrificed so much. We believe every veteran deserves a hero's welcome, especially those who served during some of the most challenging times in our nation's history. We're part of the National Honor Flight Network. This non-profit organization, founded in 2005, maintains a simple yet powerful goal: to fly World War II veterans to Washington, D.C., so that they could visit their memorial and other significant memorials in the city.
This initiative was born when a compassionate physician's assistant realized that many of his World War II veteran patients were not excited about visiting the newly built World War II memorial. Determined to change this, Earl Morse and his friends took it upon themselves to fly a few veterans to the memorial, sparking the creation of the Honor Flight Network. This great effort has grown in the years since, uniting communities and bridging generations.
We're proud to be a part of this inspiring mission. In that light, we are tentatively scheduling our first flight for April 28-30, 2025, where our local veterans will visit their memorials in Washington, D.C.
